Ashburton Art Gallery

Nau mai haere mai, welcome to the Ashburton Art Gallery. Serving the growing population of Mid-Canterbury and New Zealand at large, the Ashburton Art Gallery is a vibrant and growing cultural facility in the heart of Te Waipounamu (the South Island). With over 25 years of operating history, the AAG is devoted to experimentation, innovation and engagement in art. Located on the first floor of the Ashburton Art Gallery and Heritage Centre on State Highway 1, the AAG is a place for everyone to enjoy and discover art. The AGG is an independent charitable entity and is generously funded by the Ashburton District Council. It is run by a small team of 5 staff and 22 volunteers.
