Fiksate Artists’ Studios and Gallery Move to Gloucester Street

Fiksate Artists’ Studios and Gallery Move to Gloucester Street

The artists who set up Fiksate studio and gallery in New Brighton Mall are shifting to 165 Gloucester Street.

Studio artist Nathan Ingram says that the New Brighton spaces were well supported, but the building they were leasing was recently sold.  Following a lead from Life in Vacant Spaces they are moving to Gloucester Street.  They have a similar set up with a gallery in the front and working studios in the back. Whose in the studios besides Ingram? Painter Jenna Ingram, stencil artist Clint Park, mural/ street artist Jon King, writer Reuben Woods and risograph printer Jane Maloney.

‘The gallery will also bring in urban artists working from all around New Zealand, Australia, Spain and the USA. The first exhibition is Jacob Yikes with his largest body of work to date.  We are pretty stoked to have him.’
