Esther Deans opens a solo exhibition at the Susan Badcock Gallery in April. The Granddaughter of artist Austen Deans (1915-2011) and niece of painter Lindsay Crooks, her new paintings are a series of narratives and images of fragmented domestic exteriors and interiors, as much about the reassurance of home as they are about our momentary presence in time and place.
