The 2019 Olivia Spencer Bower artist now has a studio

The 32nd recipient of the Olivia Spencer Bower Award, Kim Lowe now has a studio for her residency in Ōtautahi Christchurch, which ‘officially’ commenced in January 2019.  Due to an artist’s departure from one of the studios at Chambers Gallery, 241 Moorhouse Avenue, Lowe is at last taking up studio residency as the OSB recipient in keeping with its support for such accommodation.  Lowe’s plans are to develop the figurative content and narratives of her work, as well as practicing and developing calligraphic brush and wash techniques in a new series of works.
