A talk at Arts in Oxford about Māori Art by Gina Matchitt.

Gina grew up in Rotorua and has whakapapa connections to Te Arawa and Whakatohea.  She is interested in the power of objects as reflections of ourselves and our histories. An artist and lecturer, she has previously worked at Te Wananga o Awanuiarangi and Victoria University. After spending 7 years living overseas with her whanau, Gina returned to Aotearoa in 2014. More recently she has had a variety of roles at Te Papa, City Gallery and New Zealand Portrait Gallery. Gina has a Craft Design Diploma (Jewellery) from Unitec and a Masters of Māori Visual Arts from Massey University.

We look forward to Ginas lecture this Saturday 10th August 2-3pm.
