Ka Awatea signifies daybreak and is the title of an exhibition of ‘new voices’ from artists in Ōtautahi.   It is curated by Ōtautahi Creative Spaces, a specialist creative wellbeing initiative supporting people with experience of mental distress through working in studio groups, mentoring, and collaborative projects and exhibitions.  The participating artists are: Catherine Brougham, Marian Cox, Sam Gane, Calum Hay, Marguerite King, Jonette Kingi, Sam Lee, Lauren Michelle, Amber Panere, Natasha Sadlier, Jamie Sim,  Alexandra Stobbs, Lewis Trembath, Elijah Watson, Hadani Woodruff.
