Arts in Oxford Gallery has a group exhibition opening in March.  Some of the artists are familiar to me but Gavin Chai, I have not seen his work previously, and 2 images of his paintings of builders at work on building sites has attracted my interest.   He is 22 years old, based in Auckland, has a background in carpentry and is currently studying for a Bachelor of Visual Arts at AUT.   Stand Alone is a painting from this series that promises the potential of work still to come.  The details of the  exhibition are:
